Yay, weekend!
I had a great weekend!
Went to
fearangel's suprise birthday party, organized by
djpsychobilly, and proceeded to get hammered! Last count,
dragonflii_echo had made me at least eight Midori Sours, I was very happy.
It was good to spend time with fearangel, djpsychobilly, and
gishgish, who I haven't seen that much of lately, not to mention
hrolf and
lofn, who I don't think I've spent time with since fearangel and djpsychobilly's old apartment, I forgot how much fun they are, they kept me laughing all night.
Was also able to get a ride from
geodiaz to pick up godofbastards when he got off work (I was supposed to do it - see aforementioned Midori Sours).
axory and
iveegrein were there also, and bought fearangel one of the coolest things ever - it's called an Aquapet

and it was the cutest damn thing ever. It was like a micro-Furby that can interact with you and other Aquapets.
Ended up crashing at dragonflii_echo place, so I wouldn't have to drive home. Then, she and I hung out Saturday (well, technically, she hung out at my place watching It on TV while I scrubbed my bathtub - long overdue).
Saturday nite, per my plans, headed to The Bank. Nobody from the LJ community showed up, but I had a blast anyway. For those who remember the club DJLegion was spinning at, it's the same, but dramatically remodeled. There's a main room where the nightly theme is held, and a second lounge spinning trance, both with a bar and lots of comfy leather couches to chill. The doorguy, Brian, made my night - he carded me - I thanked him for the sentiment.
Talked with the dj, Mark, very nice guy, very cool. My t-shirt from Altamont Records

Clash logo on neon pink, finally got the props it deserves (I get ragged on for it at work whenever I wear it). Mark had seen the Clash live in '79, so I immediately hated him. ;)
He was playing a great mix: Hong Kong Garden by Siouxsie & the Banshees, Stay Near by ABC, Mothers Talk by Tears For Fears, She Sells Sanctuary by The Cult.
Drank a Newcastle (or three) to
And I had to laugh out loud when Homicide by 999 started playing, having heard that song about a billion times in the last six months (it's one of the songs my band played for our Tampa Theatre gig).
Then I got a call from geodiaz about 1am, he was heading to breakfast with our friend
Spend most of Sunday recovering, then to visit
Damn, I'm tired...
