Saturday night's Ramones Tribute rocked! Everybody had a great time, the bands were all excellent, and I think I remember Mikey from Boney Fiend say we had 700 people through the door over the course of the night.

I was really happy and somewhat surprised to see so many of my friends make it, I really wasn't expecting a huge turnout on the personal side.
fionathecelt was there with her friends Karen and Mike, before dragonflii_echo and I even made it there.
We were coming directly from djpsychobilly and fearangel's wedding, which I must say was awesome. As much as the part of my heart (and brain) which used to believe in love and romance has atrophied to near nonexistence, I still spent the whole day smiling, genuinely happy for them (except I now hate them both, because the lucky bastards are honeymooning in London!).
Gigi and Gary were also there, and just before we went on, axory, iveegrein, geodiaz, Ray, Traci and JD arrived, and the drinking which began with the heavy-handed bartender at the wedding continued (ow, my head).
Steve brought some of his friends, who are always great peeps, but one of Steve's and my mutual friends, who shall remain nameless, got there late and missed our whole set (slacker!).
A big, serious thanks to all my friends who showed, I really appreciated it, and was happy you were there (in case my stress-level prevented me from showing it then). It was great to have you all around on the best night I've had in ages! |
