OK, I'm scrambling to get caught up on things, so this will be a condensed update, for now...
Took last week off for vacation with very little warning for a visit from Mom down from Joisey, we spent the week at Disney's Pop Century Resort, and spent way too much money, but with $20 Chucks like these -
and buy one, get one half-off Vans at the outlet in Orlando, not to mention my obvious weakness for Virgin Records at Downtown Disney...
Made it back in time for the Rocky Horror Wake Saturday Night.
I'd like to take a minute from my running around like the proverbial headless-chicken (huh, huh, I said "headless") to thank everybody who was able to attend, and a special thanks to ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) darkwing2022 and geodiaz for planning the whole thing, and iveegrein and Traci for busting ass cleaning and decorating and errand-running and etc, etc, etc...
I can't tell you how great it was to see people from the beginning in '92 to the present all gathered at one event. The sad reason for the wake aside, we've got to do that more often.
I was also happy that the closest the party came to bullshit at any point was a personal argument about politics and religion, which most of us happily avoided - I, myself, never debate when I'm shit-faced. I even got an inadvertent compliment from fionathecelt, who said she usually finds when groups gather based on a shared interest, that's all they talk about, and we didn't do that.

Went back to Geo's Sunday to clean, after seeing my mom off at the airport.
I will have more to say/show on all of the above afta-afta, but now anyone with un-replied to emails/comments has some idea why... |
